Services Provided

Animal Care Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital.  We provide professional services such as X-rays, emergency care, vaccinations, dentistry, videoscope exams, and tattoo and microchip identification.

Our x-ray equipment consists of a radiograph machine and in house processor.  Our automatic processor allows us to develop x-rays quickly for immediate evaluation.

                                           
            

 

 

 

PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE

 

 

Animal Care Hospital provides 24 hour emergency care for our patients.  A veterinarian will remain on call to assist you with any after hour emergency you may have.  Our answering service will take your calls after 5:30 p.m. and immediately page the doctor on call with your message.

 

 

 

At the Animal Care Hospital we maintain an annual wellness program.  This program includes annual physical exam, dental exam, and vaccinations. Vaccinations are recommended to help prevent diseases such as parvo and corona in dogs and leukemia and upper respiratory infectious agents in cats.  We will perform fecal exams to check for any intestinal parasites in canines.  We also perform heartworm occults each year to detect deadly heartworm disease.

 

 

Animal Care Hospital provides a wide range of dental procedures from routine dental cleanings to tooth extractions.  We recommend thorough dental cleanings once a year to help keep teeth healthy and take care of bad breath.  There are several products available such as oral sprays, gels, and toothpastes to maintain your pets oral health.

Our videoscope allows to examine your pet more thoroughly by enabling us to see inside the ear canal and mouth.  A small probe with a camera gives us a magnified view that is seen on a TV screen.  This can be done in the exam room for our clients to see.

                                       

 

 

 

                                                               

 We also provide permanent ink tattoo and microchip identification.  The HomeAgain microchip is injected under the skin between the shoulder blades. Some of the medical treatments we provide include IV catherization, injections, ear cleaning and flushing, wound cleaning, hospitalization, blood transfusions, eye care, etc...  We use only the safest medications and state of the art equipment to enable us to provide the best care for your pet.

We provide in house labwork with a
VetAutoread Hematology System.  This equipment allows us to get results from bloodwork quickly.  The sooner we receive results, the sooner we can start treatment if necessary.  We also provide outside labwork for those tests that can only be performed in a commercial lab.  These results are usually faxed to us the next day but there are some tests that require longer.

             

 

 

The doctors and staff of the Animal Care Hospital are strong supporters of preventive health care.  We offer a Variety of heartworm prevention including Interceptor, Heartgard, Advantage Multi, and  Tri-Heart.
